Al Pike is a self-taught photographer that grew up in Little Falls Minnesota living less than a two minute drive from the boyhood home of aviator Charles Lindbergh.During his high school years he was a member of the Civil Air Patrol and upon graduation joined the United States Air Force, and learned to fly in an AirForce Aero Club. Eyesight prevented him from pursuing a flying career in theAir Force, and it was while in the Air Force that he purchased his first 35mm camera. Aviation and photography has been a continuing long time calling.
Following along and distinguished career as a board certified prosthetist, which saw him in a number of national leadership positions, he retired from practice in 2012 to pursue his long time interest in photography wanting to share his love of aviation through photography. His aviation themed digital photography so far has won awards, and been seen in magazines and calendars.
