I grew up around the aviation industry, my father being a pilot first in the Air Force and later with Western Airlines (retiring from Delta). My earliest memories are of going to airports with Dad whenever I had the opportunity. I fell in love with airplanes at a very young age, and I’ve been fortunate to be able to work in the aviation industry continuously since the age of sixteen. I started as a lineboy, fueling and washing airplanes while taking flying lessons and I’ve worked my way up through the ranks.
My interest in photography began in my early teens and I spent my first paycheck on a Pentax K1000 SLR. I’ve enjoyed combining my interest in airplanes with my interest in photography ever since. I go to as many airshows and other aviation events as possible, and I take a camera on all my trips during my “day job” as a pilot for a major US air carrier.
