Iam located in Palmdale, CA, the “Aerospace Valley” and am an amateur with no formal training. I’ve been immersed in aviation since 4 years old and love everything about it.
After years of interest in photography, a colleague recently pushed me over the edge to purchase my first decent camera. The same colleague has been training me in the art. I primarily shoot airshows with a Canon RF100-500 mounted to a Canon R7 body. I shoot in Raw and do my editing in Lightroom. I find this to be the easiest method for a beginner such as myself.
I joined ISAP in November ’24 based on the recommendation from a current ISAP member and it is the only professional group I am a member of. Tips for new photographers… latch on to a good mentor who is willing to share information!
