Michael Pliskin
Michael Pliskin started shooting for a newspaper when he was 16. After getting his BFA in Photography from CalArts he managed a photo studio in Beverly Hills and then worked for Nikon for almost 12 years. After Nikon, he worked for TRW Space & Electronics before becoming a full-time freelance photographer and editor. He shot for Aviation Week, Flight International, AOPA and other aviation magazines and has written or edited several books on photography and digital workflow.
His photography has also appeared in books and on DVD and CD covers. Clients have included United Airlines, Crowne Plaza Hotels, Nikon, Willie Nelson & Merle Haggard, Leonard Cohen, Chicago, Earth Wind & Fire, Cheech Marin, and others.
Michael also teaches Digital Imaging, Photoshop, and Lightroom at colleges and photography schools.
