I’m a professional photographer for the Fort Worth Police Department in real life, but my passion for aviation photography goes back to my youth. I started taking photographs at a young age and fell in love with being able to tell a story with photographs. I recall being in high school in the 80’s and rolling spools of Tri-X 400 black and white negative film and making a makeshift darkroom in my parents’ spare bathroom. Fast forward to today, and I have at my disposal thousands of RAW images on just one SDHC card. If you had told me 30 years ago that we would be able to take a photo and review it on the back of the camera I would have looked at you funny – well, look how far we have come.
