Timothy P. Smith
Timothy P. Smith, a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, developed his passion for aviation from stories of his father’s days in the United States Navy who was assigned to the Airborne Early Warning Squadron VW-13. After his Father lit the spark, he began building models and became an avid reader of all thing’s aviation. Intent to absorb anything and everything he could about aviation, his parents took him to an air show. This is where the first direct encounter with military aircraft occurred. It was that day two mighty F4 Phantoms took flight. His passion for aviation was born at that moment. From this point on his eyes were forever fixed to the sky.
After leaving a long term, successful and established career with DOW, he has devoted himself to the full-time pursuit of photography. With the emphasis on aviation photography, other areas of photographic expertise include landscape, wildlife, architectural, professional sports, on-location special events, commercial and residential real estate, corporate and personal portraits.
Tim’s photography experience spans more than 30 years. What began as a hobby with a 35mm T-50 camera has now evolved into a devoted, full-time career and the ever-evolving chase of the perfect image into the digital age.
